Born in Peru and shaped by his years in Barcelona, Chef Oscar Barrantes now brings 17 years of culinary and restaurant experience to Stockholm. It was in Barcelona that he created La Lucha — his own restaurant, which he ran as its owner and head chef. He developed the concept and the entire menu from the ground up, bringing the flavours of Peru and Spain together in his personal fusion style.
La Lucha was also a deeply personal project. Oscar created it as a tribute to his grandmother Maria Lucia — the first person who taught him to cook and one of the most important people in his life.
For more than eight years, Oscar hosted interactive cooking workshops and culinary experiences in Barcelona. At least 1,200 guests took part, leaving more than 500 reviews on Airbnb. Today, he shares that experience in Stockholm in two different ways: during Paella Experience, guests cook and spend time together, while as a Private Chef he prepares individually planned menus at a location chosen by the client.
